The long wait is over for the repackaged Trinidad cigars to reach British shores, more than a year since the announcement of the return of the Robusto Extra.

The classic Cuban cigar, measuring 155mm with a 50mm gauge ring, was originally introduced in 2004 but was discontinued in 2012.

Their reappearance was initially a 2021 duty free exclusive, before the surprise arrival at the 2024 Habanos Festival that they would be re-released as a regular production cigar.

Available in luxury glossy boîte nature boxes of three and 12 cigars. Trinidad, Cuba’s second most expensive cigar brand behind Cohiba, have priced the Robusto Extra at £66.10 (US$88.70) each and £758.80 (US$1,018) for a box of 12.

These new Robusto Extra coincide with the 55th anniversary of the Trinidad brand, so the company have included a secondary band and third foot band to celebrate this feat.

Crafted with a medium-bodied profile and the traditional pigtail cap, this is a creamy smooth smoke encompassing flavours of cedar, coffee and spice.
