Cuba’s Habano Festival, the infamous week-long event that celebrates premium Cuban cigars, has been pencilled in for a return to the heart of Havana in 2024 from 26 February.

The annual showpiece is the centre of attention for Cuban cigar aficionados, consumers, distributors, enthusiasts and retailers alike from across the globe.

This 24th iteration of the show will feature spectacular visits to Cuba’s famed cigar factories and tobacco farms as well as pairing contests and the highly-anticipated evening events that reveal the newest releases.

These Habano Festivals tend to conclude with charity auctions. The winning bid of US$2.7 million in 2020, for a one-off Cohiba humidor that was brimming with unique Cohiba cigars, was surpassed last year. The successful bid of US$4.4m was also for a Cohiba humidor full of the premium brand’s prized cigars.

Cuban cigars remain in high demand with China, France, Germany, Spain and Switzerland the top buyers.
