The Bolívar New Gold Medal cigar, announced at the 2023 Habanos Festival, has been made exclusive to La Casa Del Habano stores but this fancy-looking smoke is still not readily available across the globe.

There are 157 La Casa del Habano franchise shops, partially owned by the Cuban government, that specialise in Cuban cigars but this cigar has slowly trickled into their establishments.

The 6 1/2 inches long by 48 ring gauge cigar, enrobed in gold foil that is embossed with a repeat of the Bolívar logo. It has taken over from the discontinued Bolívar Gold Medal, which was the same length but boasted only a 42 ring gauge.

The initial Casa del Habano shops to receive these cigars were limited to Andorra, Chile, Germany, Lebanon, Mexico and Switzerland with popular Cuban cigar markets like Canada and the United Kingdom recently receiving shipments of the Bolívar New Gold Medal cigar.
